"For God so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life."

Many people have heard about John 3:16, and maybe they know what it says, but do they really know what it means . . . how deep it is? How much does God love us? Apparently, a whole lot because He sent His son to die for us, sinners, on the cross in order for our sins (sins of the past, present, and future) to be washed away, so that we will be able to go to heaven. Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice. And, if we believe in Christ and what he did for us, we will have the gift of eternal life (not this worldly life, but the one destined for us in heaven).
